Following the smashing success of the Bata Shoe Museum event in October 2006 -- 600 people were in attendance--Diaspora Nostrum is preparing a night of comedy, theatre, song, food, drink and dance in the intimate 'cabaret' setting of the "Groundhog Pub" in downtown Toronto.
The star of the night is none other than radio personality, actor, singer, songwriter, playwright, producer, and comedian: Harry Sideropoulos. This will be the native Greek-South African's debut performance in Toronto, although he has already wowed all those who met him with his PRESENCE here in Toronto in March 2005.
Full program details soon to be announced. Mark the date in your calendars in the meantime, and get an earful of the voice that greeted thousands of Johannesburg inhabitants every morning on the radio:
Harry’s rewriting of the classic hit "Fever" dedicated to three Greek- Canadian women and their men.
Harry Sideropoulos was the host of Johannesburg's 94.7 Rude Awakening show on radio for seven years. He subsequently made his mark in the performing arts sector with stage productions such as Big Band Blast (three sell-out sessions at the Johannesburg Civic Theatre, five Naledi Theatre Awards), Songs from the Mediterranean, and his hugely successful one-man show No Sugar, Canderel Please (five season sell-out run in Johannesburg). His first CD My Favourite Swings enjoyed great success and he is currently working on his second with the working title, Three Minutes Past Love.

SUNDAY TIMES
Now in it's sixth triumphant year, "No Sugar, Canderel Please!" (written by Harry Sideropoulos and Sam Cowen)
has been turning South African theatre on its belly and astounding audiences with its frank, yet fabulously
funny approach towards the issue of 'fat' since it's first staging in 2000.
